As of 4th July, we are pleased to be able to welcome our customers back to the Royal Standard. However, in accordance with government advice, regulations and the well-being of everyone, things are going to look a little bit different. We will have social distancing markers, hand sanitizer for use at the point of entry, a one way system will be in place to facilitate the purchasing of drinks. There will be full notice board guidance on entry to the pub. Initially our opening hours will be... Sat 4th July 2-8 Sun 12-5 Mon 2-7 Tue 4-7 Wed 4-7 Thur 4-9 Fri 2-10 food served 6-8:30 Then repeated for the following week. Food will initially only be served on the Friday evening. We will keep all our measures including opening hours under constant review and will update any changes on a rolling fortnightly basis on here. Ever-popular semi rural pub with a congenial ambiance in the bar, catering for diners and discerning drinkers alike. Ten real ales, five direct from the cask, alongside many real ciders, make this venue an important flagship pub in the area. There is always at least one dark beer in offer, either a stout, porter or dark mild. Two beer festivals, one on May day weekend, the other on the last weekend in October.
