The Whip Inn is a 200 year old Free House open all day, every day of the year from 11 am except for Sundays which are 12 noon - Situated on the Chiltern Way in the heart of the picturesque Chiltern Hills the beer garden overlooks the Lacey Green windmill. It is a delightful country pub offering great food, good company and a large selection of excellent ales and fine wines.Sitting right on the Chiltern Way it's a great area for walking with a variety of circular walks starting and finishing at the pub. It is central to the many local attractions including, the Ancient Whiteleaf Cross, Chinnor Steam Railway, Hell Fire Caves, The Home For Rest For Horses, The Lacey Green Windmill and during the summer months the amazing Maize Maze is a mile down the road.It is in several guides including the Good Beer Guide and is renowned for serving in excess of 800 different ales every year from its six hand pumps. It holds two beer festivals: the "Mayfest" and the "Septemberfest" when Real Ales & Ciders from around the country are combined with live jazz. The Whip Inn with its open fire, oak beams and friendly staff has a relaxed cosy atmosphere in the true tradition of English country pubs. As it was built before the introduction of fruit machines and loud music, we feel it should stay that way, and it does.
